To change recording qualities you no longer have to fiddle through the settings page. First make sure you are displaying the status icons (pic:hi aud:on stuff) by turning it on through the settings page. Now at the viewfinder window, press "1", "2", or "3" and watch the quality indicator cycles through "hi", "std", and "lo"! Furthermore, pressing the "abc" (on 3650 this is the little pen button) key toggles audio on and off
